Ambrosia and Spalting are conditions that occur when logs lay on the forest floor.  They create beautifully intricate patterns, in this case, contrasting the creamy whiteness of Maple.  Also present are wholes left behind by small beetles that once called this log home.  We fill and polish sand these features leaving a beautifully smooth and sealed surface.  It is somewhat rare to find spalting and Ambrosia on the same board.  Highly sought after!
