We try to be a little different in our approach to creating our boards.  We seek out lumber that would usually end up being ground into mulch,  carted to landfills, or simply chopped up into firewood.  Please note that we are not "anti-mulch" or "firewood haters."  As far as the landfills go, we're still wrestling with that one!  This beautiful board is a great example of why we created our business.  We take great pride in creating beautiful and functional hand-crafted boards from "orphaned" trees.  This beautiful board has it all...light shaded sapwood, dark-grained heartwood, some light flame figure (also known as curling) on the right side, and even some iron staining from where a spike previously resided.  You should buy this one!!
